Good Neighbours
Embsay and Eastby Good Neighbours (EEGN) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO number 1189466) and its main objective is to relieve loneliness and isolation in the villages of Embsay and Eastby.
Embsay and Eastby Good Neighbours does this by offering a free befriending service and then also holding a monthly “event” such as a trip out and meal.
The Charity also supports a weekly coffee morning (Making Waves Cafe) at the ex-Methodist Chapel in Embsay.
It also operates a free service for residents that need assistance in transportation such as hospital or Doctor appointments and simple DIY or household tasks.
